Larimar City & Resort attends the official celebration of Hispanic Heritage Day in the Dominican Republic.

The official residence of the Embassy of Spain in the Dominican Republic was the setting for the traditional reception on the occasion of the National Holiday of Spain, held last October 16More than a thousand figures from the country's political, economic, social, and cultural life gathered at this meeting, which reaffirmed the close historical and strategic ties between the two nations.

The hostess of the evening, Lorea Arribalzaga Ceballos, Spanish ambassador to the Dominican Republic, received the guests accompanied by the embassy's counselor, Ignacio Sánchez de LerínThe Dominican Foreign Minister attended as a guest of honor. Roberto Álvarez, along with prominent authorities of the country: the former president Leonel Fernández, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs Victor -Ito- Bisonó, the Minister of Energy and Mines Joel santos, the Minister of the Interior and Police and the Attorney General Yeni Berenice Reynoso, among other senior representatives of the institutional sphere.

A space for diplomacy and international projection

In representation of CLERHP Structures, SA, a Spanish company developing Larimar City & Resort, four members of its management team attended:

The representatives of Larimar were personally received by the ambassador Lorea Arribalzaga Ceballos, accompanied by Minister Counselor Ignacio Sánchez de Lerín, with whom they shared a formal greeting that underscored the company's role as a country brand in the Dominican Republic.

During the evening, the president and business director of CLERHP held direct talks with Minister Ito Bisonó and Minister Joel Santos. This atmosphere of institutional cordiality allowed for an exchange of views on investment, cooperation, and development opportunities in strategic sectors such as tourism, energy, and infrastructure.

Brotherhood, cooperation and shared opportunities

In her speech, Ambassador Arribalzaga highlighted the privileged nature of bilateral relations, united not only by history but by a relationship of brotherhood that extends into the future. He emphasized Spain's commitment to the development of the Dominican Republic and recalled that 2027 will mark forty years of Spanish cooperation in the country.

He also highlighted Spain's economic importance in the region: "In 2023 and 2024, we were the second largest source of foreign direct investment in the country," he noted. Spain currently has more than 200 established companies in the Dominican Republic and is the first foreign investor in the tourism sector.

For his part, Chancellor Roberto Álvarez reflected on the contemporary meaning of Hispanicity, defining it as “a community of affection and work”, based on a shared language and the diversity of its accents. It also outlined three fundamental commitments for the future: dignity and rights, shared prosperity, and education as a bridge to development.

Culture and country brand projection

The reception, which was sponsored by seventy companies and establishments, has become one of the most anticipated events in the institutional calendar of both countries. The evening was enlivened by a musical performance by Techy fatule, which brought the festive finale to an evening marked by diplomacy and cultural celebration.

The presence of Larimar City & Resort at this event reinforces its position as Spanish strategic project in the Dominican Republic, aligned with the vision of cooperation, development and investment that unites both nations.
