Larimar City & Resort officially inaugurates the project that will bring to life the first Smart City in the Caribbean

Larimar City & Resort The official inauguration of the urban development project that will transform tourism in the Dominican Republic and mark the beginning of the first [period of economic growth] was celebrated this Saturday, November 22. Caribbean Smart Citya vision developed together with the Spanish company CLERHP.

The event brought together more than 300 guests, including Dominican authorities, representatives of the Spanish government, the Economic and Commercial Counselor, Ms. Pilar Serret Murga, and Mr. Alexander Rodríguez, Mayor of La Otra Banda, as well as investors, strategic partners, and international and local media. In fact, numerous reports have already appeared in more than 30 media outlets that covered the event. Some of them are:

The ceremony included the official ribbon-cutting and a blessing from the Bishop of La Altagracia, Monsignor Jesús Castro Marte. During his remarks, the CEO of CLERHP, Juan Andres Romero, highlighted that Larimar City “represents a new concept of a modern, efficient and sustainable city”reaffirming the company's commitment to innovation and urban transformation in the eastern part of the country. The figure of Mgr It was significant, who indicated during her Blessing that: “Just as the Master said -Do not be afraid-, in this country many of us are supporting the project with prayer and with purpose, because we know it is a unique project for everyone.”

As part of its social commitment, CLERHP announced the start of its CSR with the Larimar City Foundationwith a donation to the FUNEYCA Foundation, which supports educational and cultural programs for young people in the Punta Cana area through culture and music. In fact, during the event, the foundation's musicians performed the national anthems of the Dominican Republic and Spain.

The event concluded with a cocktail reception for attendees and the sunset at the Farallón de Punta Cana.
