The CLERHP management team visits the Ferralia Group factory in Punta Cana.

Ferralia Group welcomes CLERHP management to its new plant in the Dominican Republic.

In a decisive step to ensure efficiency and quality in one of the key work items of the project, the supply and comprehensive execution of the set of corrugated steel structures for the Larimar City project, the management team of Clerhp in Punta Cana visited last August 14th, 2025 the modern facilities of Grupo Ferralia.

This visit is part of the collaboration agreement signed in julio de 2025, through which both companies consolidated a strategic alliance to carry out the comprehensive execution of the project, providing the project with efficient and industrial management that would guarantee the demanding deadlines and impact the optimization of time and costs in the development of Larimar City, in the Dominican Republic.

Grupo Ferralia will work exclusively with Metaldom, a multinational company and the largest steel manufacturer in the Dominican Republic. Both companies maintain a strategic alliance that they make available to the project, giving Larimar City the guarantee, solidity and support of having two references in the sector.

A key alliance in the heart of Punta Cana

Larimar City consolidates its infrastructure with a high-level industrial partner: Ferralia Group. This group—a leading industrial operator in comprehensive corrugated steel services—has more than 70 years of experience in the supply, manufacturing, assembly, and installation of structural steel.

The Ferralia Group has a global presence, including operations in Panama, Colombia, Uruguay, and Peru, in addition to its presence in various European countries. Its production capacity is remarkable: more than 3,200 employees worldwide, 12 industrial plants and an annual installed capacity of more than 468 thousand tonsThese figures reflect solid operational strength that supports its reputation for major international projects.

Knowing the plant in situ

The tour was led by Eusebio Cebrián, Ferralia's Operations Manager for the Dominican Republic, who was accompanied by the President of the CLERHP Group, Mr. Juan Andrés Romero, and prominent members of his team—made up of seven executives involved in the Larimar City & Resort project—who had the opportunity to observe the production processes firsthand:

• Distribution, organization, and traceability of the material. The facilities are equipped to guarantee the control and quality of the steel, as well as its optimal conservation.
• Demanding health and safety management
• Cutting and bending using modern, industrial machinery that automates and optimizes processes.
• Industrial pre-assembly production process of structures using specialized machinery.

This is a key management that, in coordination with the on-site execution teams and their TO, reduces lead times and ensures quality in the execution of the reinforcement, in addition to reducing occupational risks on site. Automatic continuous bar connection systems. Through its strategic alliance with the Frances Bartec group (Linxion), the Ferralia Group implemented a bar connection system for the project using continuity connectors. This provides the splice with greater resistance, improving structural integrity and offering greater resistance to earthquakes and fatigue. It also eliminates bar congestion, improving the quality of the concrete pouring and finishing of the structure.

Strategic and significant projects such as the Grand Paris metro lines, the new Lima airport (the largest in the Latin American region), the Monaco caissons, and the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal have incorporated this system, which is certified by UK BS8010, NF35010, and ISO15835 standards, and is ACI-certified type 2 connector.

In addition to raising the strength and resistance of the framework to the highest standard, this system will directly impact the reduction of the Carbon footprint. Recent studies show that the embodied carbon in new buildings represents 11% of global emissions. This system will allow us to reduce embodied carbon by reducing the volume of steel, the number of transports, scrap and energy consumption, making Larimar City a benchmark in green construction, something that is part of the project's priorities within the commitment of its developers.

We also had the opportunity to meet firsthand the entire OT team, a specialized and highly experienced team that supports the project operation through advanced breakdown techniques and programs and Building Information Modeling (BIM) models.

All of this is achieved in a plant with a high production capacity installed in a 10.000 m² area, which guarantees a continuous and efficient production flow. The location of this factory, strategically close to the Larimar construction area, guarantees the project's demanding needs and provides priority response capacity for any unforeseen event. This structure and its proximity are key to maintaining the construction schedule and optimizing costs in this phase of the project.

Benefits for Larimar City and its investors

This agreement with the group brings multiple advantages:

  1. It guarantees compliance with the necessary productions and therefore compliance and even a reduction in execution times.
  2. Agility, control and organization, a key aspectSteel batch management is one of the key aspects at this stage. Grupo Ferralia provides the project with efficient, industrial management, ensuring control and organization through modern procedures and specialized teams in all areas. Furthermore, having the factory practically integrated into the project site eliminates any risk and uncertainty in the entire batch management process.
  3. Guaranteed quality: A partner with experience and professionalism in the structural treatment of steel strengthens the solidity of the project
  4. Cost efficiency: A specialized WO that works in advance, a modern industrial plant and a specialized and experienced on-site execution team, develop a comprehensive management of the batch that efficiently impacts the entire value chain, this ensures that the batch does not suffer from cost overruns and deviations in planning, which results in a guarantee of return for investors and customers,
  5. Visibility for the investor: Knowing the production process and the actual supply capacity allows us to instil confidence in buyers and stakeholders.

A project that transcends the local

Ferralia Group has been involved in emblematic international real estate and civil engineering projects, including airports, sports stadiums, healthcare complexes, financial campuses, infrastructure projects such as metro lines, highways, railways, maritime projects, dams, ports, power plants, and iconic projects in every country where it operates. This experience contributes to raising the technical and management standards in Larimar City, elevating the project to global standards.

In conclusion, Clerhp's visit to the Ferralia facilities on August 14th, 2025, following the collaboration agreement signed in July of this same year, is not just a symbolic gesture: it is a tangible demonstration of how a well-placed strategic alliance can be decisive in the success of an ambitious development like Larimar City.

Through a privileged location, robust production, and efficient use of resources, this agreement consolidates the foundation upon which a planned, sustainable, and future-oriented city will be built. For Larimar readers and investors, this type of collaboration represents an additional guarantee: because behind Punta Cana's attractive design and privileged setting lies a solid industrial structure that supports the urban dream that is beginning to materialize today.
