In the first phase of the Larimar City project, Amanalú, a restaurant designed to offer much more than a culinary experience. This space represents a new way of understanding luxury: an experience that combines architecture, nature, flavor, and emotion. Located in a privileged enclave in the Caribbean, Amanalú marks the beginning of an exclusive, serene lifestyle connected to its surroundings.
Amanalú is not just a restaurant. It's a place where time slows down, the senses awaken, and calm takes center stage. Every detail has been designed to create an immersive atmosphere, where visitors feel welcomed by fine materials, warm lighting, and a harmonious ambiance.

To get to know the soul of Amanalú, we spoke with the architect responsible for the project. She tells us that inspiration came at dawn, while contemplating the deep blue sea from the cliff. It was at that moment that the name Amanalú was born, a fusion of "dawn" and "blue," a poetic nod to the larimar stone and the essence of the project that surrounds it.
Inspired by Mediterranean architecture, but reinterpreted with a Caribbean identity, the restaurant faces a natural pool suspended 100 meters above sea level. This elevated artificial beach transforms the space into a visually striking setting, reproducing the sensation of being by the sea through sounds, breezes, and light.
Coral stone and wood are the main features of the design. Coral, abundant in the Larimar environment, is integrated as an identifying and sustainable element. Natural textures, soft tones, and organic lines reinforce the sense of calm and elegance.
Every spatial decision seeks to open the restaurant to the landscape, avoid visual barriers, and foster a fluid, friendly architecture in perfect harmony with nature.
One of the biggest challenges was breaking away from the traditional aesthetic of the Dominican Republic beach restaurant. Amanalú moves away from the image of the tropical beach bar and proposes a new paradigm: a refined space with a Caribbean soul, offering relaxed luxury without losing authenticity.
Through layering, lighting contrasts, and carefully curated decor, an atmosphere is created that combines sophistication and comfort. The result is an immersive and elegant experience, ideal for those seeking something different.
Among Amanalú's most special spaces, the chill-out area stands out as a true haven of serenity. Open-air, surrounded by vegetation, with soft music and a select cocktail menu, this area becomes a true oasis facing the artificial beach. A place to share intimate conversations at sunset or simply let yourself be carried away by the tranquility of the surroundings.
The transition between the interior and this outdoor area has been designed seamlessly, inviting visitors to move freely and always feel at one with the landscape.
Amanalú is much more than a restaurant at the Larimar City & Resort project. It's a statement of purpose. It reflects Larimar's vision as an exclusive, sustainable destination deeply connected to nature.
